Bumble Bee Saves Hollywood!

The Autobot from "Transformers" Takes A Stand

By

Bill Kallay

Bumblebee from "Transformers" made a stop in West Hollywood just in time for the DVD and HD-DVD releases of the blockbuster.  Standing tall above onlookers with digital cameras and camera phones, the formally yellow Chevy Camaro stopped traffic on nearby Santa Monica Blvd.

The actual prop from the movie will be on display at the West Hollywood Gateway Shopping Center at the corner of La Brea and Santa Monica Blvd. until October 21st.

While onlookers watch, Bumblebee "takes form"

Don't you wish that your Camaro could do this?

This picture gives you an idea of the scale of the Autobot, which required a forklift and a 10-ton crane to erect
