The Most 70mm Prints In L.A.

During the 1980s and '90s when mass-market, saturation release patterns was becoming the industry norm and when more and more theatres were equipping for 70mm presentation, studios began to oblige with large 70mm print runs for some of their bigger productions. This meant that audiences would not need to drive in to the big city in order to experience a 70mm presentation (unlike during the roadshow era); many theatres in the surrounding counties were playing a film in 70mm simultaneous with Los Angeles.
