*This was the 70mm screening which prompted
interest in restoring "Blade Runner." Initially, festival
organizers were looking for a rumored 70mm print another classic
film when they stumbled upon "Blade Runner" in
the Warner Bros. film vault. After running the
film, they discovered it was a 70mm test print. The main
difference of the test print versus the theatrical version 1982
was the lack of Harrison Ford's narration and a temporary music
score. The festival organizers decided to show "Blade Runner."
The audience that morning experienced history and an entirely
new film. Warner Bros. then restored the film and re-released it
in 1992 without 70mm prints.

Films were shown to celebrate the grand opening of the new
six-screen theater complex. Each 70mm print was presented in
THX-certified auditorium.
