Did Santa bring you those DVDs
that were on your wish list?
The staff at From Script To DVD wants to wish all our loyal and new readers a very happy new year. We would like to thank each and every one of you for making our website a success. FSTD has grown substantially since our official launch in October 2004, and we hope you've enjoyed what we've put on the site. We'd also like to thank our "Friends Of FSTD" who's support has helped our site grow. This includes not only fellow websites, but also studios and their publicists and local librarians who have assisted us on research. And we'd also like to thank our contributors, too. They've contributed excellent stories and lists that are read on a regular basis by our readership. We know you’ll probably be busy with all of the craziness associated with the holidays, but we hope that you’ll find some time to stop on by the website. What’s around the corner at FSTD? Glad you asked! One of the most special projects we’ll soon be unveiling is a massive theatre photo gallery in our popular "70mm In New York," "70mm In Los Angeles," and the soon-to-be-added "70mm In Orange County" sections. Many of the theatres featured in these photo galleries are no longer standing. But they are very much alive at FSTD. The present photo gallery for New York has been an overwhelming success. In fact, it's been one of the most viewed sections of the site. In the past few months, we've been researching and adding new photos for the New York photo gallery. The format of the gallery has changed, but for the better. We've created individual links to each theatre for easy access. As for the Los Angeles and Orange County galleries, they represent nearly two years of research and photo taking. This project has been a monumental task, as you can imagine. We hope you will find it very worth your while. The Los Angeles and Orange County regions of Southern California represented perhaps the most concentrated amount of 70mm screens in the world. In total, there will be approximately 2500 pictures between the New York and Southern California galleries! These will include vintage pictures, contemporary photos, newspaper ads, special interactive photos and much more. We’re also working on bringing you more articles, filmographies, interviews and photo galleries, including: "Top Gun Revisited" Joe Kelly Interview (UA Theatres/D-150) "Into The Vortex: The Black Hole" (An in-depth look back at the space epic) Films in Mag Stereo More Hollywood Premiere Galleries And much, much more. Thank you again for your support of our website during 2005 and Happy New Year!
